Game Design & Development (CP or Honors)
This course provides students with the opportunity to design and develop fully functional video games with product design documentation. This course emphasizes game control and logic, design tools, and the physics of games using computer programming.
- Prerequisite: Keyboarding proficiency and any Computer Programming course and/or Teacher Recommendation
Introduction to Computer Programming
This course is designed to emphasize the fundamentals of computer programming. Topics include computer software, program design and development, and practical experience in programming, using modern, object-oriented languages.

Intro to Artificial Intelligence
Artificial Intelligence involves simulating intelligent behavior in computers, encompassing programming, data science, mathematical reasoning, creative problem-solving, ethics, and practical experiences. With the increasing demand for AI skills, traditional careers like Data Analyst or Software Developer are evolving to incorporate AI solutions. The Foundations of Artificial Intelligence course introduces students to essential AI concepts, preparing them to comprehend common applications, tackle real-word challenges, and develop solutions using advanced technologies.
- Prerequisite: Basic computer science course, Algebra 1, Teacher Rec.
AP Computer Science Principles
AP Computer Science A introduces students to computer science with fundamental topics that include problem solving, design strategies and methodologies, organization of data (data structures), approaches to processing data (algorithms), analysis of potential solutions, and the ethical and social implications of computing. The course emphasizes both object-oriented and imperative problem solving and design using Java language. These techniques represent proven approaches for developing solutions that can scale up from small, simple problems to large, complex problems. The AP Computer Science A course curriculum is compatible with many CS1 courses in colleges and universities.
- Prerequisite: Grade of “B” or better in Introduction to Computer Science Principles and permission of the instructor.
AP Computer Science Applications (A)
This course prepares students to use artistic and technological foundations to create animations. The basic principles of digital animation are reviewed, including character development and story conception through production. This course prepares students for the Adobe Certified Associate for Flash/Animate CC certification exam.

DE – Introduction to Java Programming
This course is an introduction to Java programming. Topics will cover Java syntax and classes for use in the development of Java applications and applets.
DE – Advanced Java Programming
This course is a study in advanced topics of the Java programming language by building on a basic knowledge of the Java language. Topics covered will include multi-reading, swing classes, swing event models, advanced layout managers, the Javabean component model, network programming and server-side programming.
Artificial Intelligence Applications
Artificial Intelligence Applications builds on the foundational concepts introduced in Introduction to Artificial Intelligence, focusing on how data, algorithms, and computing systems are used to design and evaluate AI solutions. Students work with real-world data, machine learning models, and industry-relevant tools to build, test, and refine AI-driven applications across domains. The course emphasizes responsible AI use, including ethical, legal, security, and privacy considerations.
